COVID-19 Testing Applications Temporarily Paused Due to Backlog

Williamson County is temporarily taking down applications for free coronavirus testing through Family Emergency Rooms from the county’s website until a backlog of testing requests has been scheduled.

People can still apply for free coronavirus testing through the Williamson County and Cities Health District website at The district has a testing site in Georgetown.

There are approximately 350 people scheduled for testing and more than a thousand in line to be scheduled at the Family Emergency Rooms in Cedar Park and Round Rock, according to a county news release.

Eight people have tested positive out of the 564 tests performed through the county’s partnership with Family Emergency Rooms, the release said.
