Do My Labs Require Fasting?
Please review the different test and panel options listed on this page to see if yours requires 12-hour fasting prior to testing.Â
Â
If you are not sure, please call our patient care coordinator at (737) 312-2181
What Is a Biomarker?
Biomarkers in blood labs are like clues that healthcare providers use to understand what’s happening inside a patient’s body. These clues can help detect diseases, monitor how well treatments are working, and predict health outcomes. For example, measuring cholesterol levels or checking for specific proteins can give insights into heart health or inflammation.
What Is a Panel of Test?
A panel is a combination of individual tests done. For example, a Female Wellness Panel may include several Biomarkers like:Â
- CalciumÂ
- Vitamin D
- TSH
- Hemoglobin A1CÂ
We usually group test into panels to get a complete overall look at an individual's health and bodily functions.
